Fr. Chris Metropulos

Does the thought of confession terrify you? You’ve never been? During the Lenten Season, we are encouraged to participate in the sacrament of confession, but many are fearful or suspicious. They just don’t know where to start. Listen as Fr. Chris and Fr. Christodoulos, the Ierokyrix (Preacher/Confessor) of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Atlanta, discuss some how-to’s on preparing for confession. They remind us that God loves us and has established the sacrament of confession to offer us healing and forgiveness.

And stay tuned as we hear Fr. Chris speak with His Eminence Archbishop Makarios, Metropolitan of the Archdiocese of Kenya, on the growth of Orthodoxy in Africa. Over 300 Orthodox centers, including, churches, schools, clinics, orphanages, and feeding programs, have been established with support from America through OCMC and across the world. The full interview can be heard here:

This program is produced in partnership with OCN

The Orthodox Christian Network produces a wide variety of multimedia resources for Orthodox Christians and seekers in three languages: English, Greek, and Spanish. It is an agency of the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States. Founded nearly 20 years ago as a radio ministry, it continues to produce “Come Receive the Light,” a weekly radio show, and has expanded into a variety of online offerings: a weekly video newscast, a variety of podcasts, three Internet radio stations, a website and a very popular social media presence, especially on Facebook. OCN strives to work in collaboration with all Orthodox organizations and churches to communicate the message of God’s love in Jesus Christ and to strengthen the Orthodox Church in the digital age.
