Fr. Chris Metropulos

What would you do if a plague were to hit your area? Father Themi Adamopoulo proved what he’d do. He is a true example of the Gospel of John 10:11, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.” Today, Fr. Chris Metropulos speaks with Fr. Themi regarding his ministry in Sierra Leone, West Africa, while thousands of people were dying from Ebola. Listen to this inspiring discussion on how love can give you the courage to do what God has called you to do. To support Fr. Themi’s work, go to www.paradise4kids.org.

But first, listen as Fr. Chris speaks with Dr. Maria Khoury, the writer of the “Christina Goes to…” series, about her experience living in Taybeh, Palestine. She has been to the Holy Life-Giving Tomb of Christ to experience the Miracle of the Holy Fire at Pascha and is dedicated to maintaining a Christian presence in the Holy Land.

This program is produced in partnership with OCN

The Orthodox Christian Network produces a wide variety of multimedia resources for Orthodox Christians and seekers in three languages: English, Greek, and Spanish. It is an agency of the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States. Founded nearly 20 years ago as a radio ministry, it continues to produce “Come Receive the Light,” a weekly radio show, and has expanded into a variety of online offerings: a weekly video newscast, a variety of podcasts, three Internet radio stations, a website and a very popular social media presence, especially on Facebook. OCN strives to work in collaboration with all Orthodox organizations and churches to communicate the message of God’s love in Jesus Christ and to strengthen the Orthodox Church in the digital age.
