Fr. Chris Metropulos

Have you ever been to a summer place that you think about all year long? We’ve invited Fr. Elias Villis, the priest of Christ Our Savior Greek Orthodox Church in Rye, NY and the Director for Camp Saint Paul, the camp ministry for the Archdiocese District, to be with us today to share his passion for camp ministry. We are sure you will be inspired, and we have included the link to find an Orthodox camp program near you.

But first, we have Dr. David Ford, Professor of Church History at St. Tikhon’s Orthodox Theological Seminary. He and his wife are the co-authors of Marriage as a Path to Holiness: Lives of Married Saints. Listen as he shares the inspiring story of St. Argyre, our patron saint of marriage.

This program is produced in partnership with OCN

The Orthodox Christian Network produces a wide variety of multimedia resources for Orthodox Christians and seekers in three languages: English, Greek, and Spanish. It is an agency of the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States. Founded nearly 20 years ago as a radio ministry, it continues to produce “Come Receive the Light,” a weekly radio show, and has expanded into a variety of online offerings: a weekly video newscast, a variety of podcasts, three Internet radio stations, a website and a very popular social media presence, especially on Facebook. OCN strives to work in collaboration with all Orthodox organizations and churches to communicate the message of God’s love in Jesus Christ and to strengthen the Orthodox Church in the digital age.
