Fr. Chris Metropulos

Have you made any resolutions for the New Year? Are you hoping to put the old year behind you? This week, we have the first of many discussions with Fr. Christodulos (Papadeas), the ierokyrix, preacher/confessor, of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Atlanta. Listen as he speaks with Fr. Chris on the topic of confession and God’s unending love for humankind. There are many misconceptions about confession, and this episode will clear things up for you. Instead of ignoring your regrets, confess them. It’s time for a fresh start.

And keep listening as Fr. Chris speaks with Fr. Evagoras Constantinides, the spokesperson for St. Nicholas National Shrine and the Director of Ionian Village at the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. He offers a brief history of the St. Nicholas parish that was destroyed during the terrorist attack on 9/11, explains the vision for the new Shrine, and discusses the architect and his design. If you’d like more information on the Shrine or would like to make a contribution, you can visit www.stnicholaswtc.org.

This program is produced in partnership with OCN

The Orthodox Christian Network produces a wide variety of multimedia resources for Orthodox Christians and seekers in three languages: English, Greek, and Spanish. It is an agency of the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States. Founded nearly 20 years ago as a radio ministry, it continues to produce “Come Receive the Light,” a weekly radio show, and has expanded into a variety of online offerings: a weekly video newscast, a variety of podcasts, three Internet radio stations, a website and a very popular social media presence, especially on Facebook. OCN strives to work in collaboration with all Orthodox organizations and churches to communicate the message of God’s love in Jesus Christ and to strengthen the Orthodox Church in the digital age.
