The chapel of Saint Dimitrios, which is situated to the north of the narthex in the katholiko (main church) of the Monastery of Vatopaidi, is a post-Byzantine addition to the Byzantine structure of the church and has wall-paintings of incomparable beauty. The Pantokrator (Lord of All) in the dome.

The paintings were executed by Kosmas LImnios in 1721. Saint John the Evangelist with Prochorus.
