Very different from wealth16 March 2020
You’ll be a spiritual person when you think of the acquisition of wealth and the profligate life as fantastical and, in fact, a waste of time. And when you recognize that what is virtuous and pleasing to God is very different from riches. When you think carefully about this and you retain it in your memory, you won’t sigh, you won’t mourn, you won’t condemn anyone. You’ll thank God for everything, seeing those worse off than you setting store by words and wealth. Those are the worst passions of the soul, as well as self-will, glory and ignorance.
