They don’t reject people

A young man who wants to become a monk does so because he’s received the fire, the flame of Christ. And if this young man comes to monasticism, he doesn’t reject other people. Monastics who leave the world and enter the wilderness reject the sick spirit of the world, but not the human beings in it.
