As a qualitative value, education must be a matter of rebirth of the heart, of spiritual transfiguration. Education shouldn’t aim at either productivity or at meeting the needs of the state. It should make people free, should bring them to knowledge of the self and of God. It should form and transform, but not malform them with dry knowledge, concentration on grades and attachment to the impermanent and material.
