No to the externals

Let us give priority to the inner person, rather than to external things. Let’s not waste our time and all our energy and activeness on what’s material and worldly, because they’ll decay and won’t last for ever. The whole direction of our soul and our striving should be centered on how the person within us can be improved and renewed.
