A host of ways

We always place the guilt on God, we always blame him, either directly or in front of others, for being absent, for not being there when we need him, for never responding whenever to turn to him. There are moments when we’re more ‘devout’ and say piously: ‘God’s testing my patience, my faith, my humility’. We find a host of ways to transform God’s judgment of us into praise for ourselves. We’re so patient that we can even put up with God.
