That’s when it shows

So, at difficult moments, let’s not just shout ‘Where are you, Lord?’, but let’s show patience hope and fortitude. The Lord promised, ‘Behold, I am with you all the days of your life’ (Matth. 28, 20). We should feel, we should be aware that the Lord is close by. Because if we just say so with our lips, it’s of no value. If you don’t experience this and are easily overcome or made to retreat, then you’re both offending the Lord and showing yourself to be weak and irresponsible. Where will the faithful show that they belong to him, that they’re obedient to his voice? They’ll show who they really are in difficulties, nowhere else. That’s when it’ll become clear whether they’re stable, dynamic and heroic.
