They’ll strangle you

Our soul’s like a container full of water. If you pour the water onto flowers, that is the virtues, the path of goodness, you’ll experience real joy; and badness, that is the weeds, will atrophy. But if you pour that water onto the weeds, they’ll spread and choke you, and all the flowers will wither. Elevate everything. Then you’ll experience joy, by God’s grace.
