Do we love them?

If we really loved our enemies as God wants us to, then we wouldn’t feel antipathy towards them and we wouldn’t harbor malice towards them. Instead we’d treat them as our siblings, made in the image of God and redeemed by Jesus Christ. We’d see them as people who, like us, are destined by the Lord for eternal bliss. We’d honor and respect them. We’d share their pain and support them in their heartache or their sickness. We’d forgive them wholeheartedly for any harm they did us and we’d pray fervently that they’d reform and return to God.
