Not beyond cure

Sin’s a terrible thing, but can still be cured. It’s healed easily by repentance. The longer you keep your hand in a flame, the more it gets burned. But if you pull it out, it stops being burned. The same’s true of sin, because sin is also a flame that sears humankind. As regards those who don’t feel this burning, Scripture asks: ‘Shall anyone bind fire in his bosom, and not burn his garments?’ (Proverbs 6, 27).
