More subtle and less apparent

The devil uses three comprehensive deceptions to deprive people of their communion with God. First is disbelief, when people deny the existence of God and his commandments. The second is mistaken faith, which is how religions and heresies are created. The third, which is more subtle and less apparent, has to do with those who are nominally and formally Orthodox .
