It’s not pure

We should love others and make sacrifices for them selflessly, without seeking any reward. That’s when we find balance. Love that requires reciprocation is selfish. It’s not genuine, not pure, not unalloyed. We should love and empathize with everybody. That’s the Church: me, you, the others, should all feel that we’re members of Christ, that we’re one.
