Not even at feasts

Just as those who don’t feel any burden on their conscience should come to holy communion every day, so those who are laden down with sins and haven’t repented shouldn’t partake even at a feast. So I’m asking you all again: don’t come to the sacraments unprepared and just because the feast calls for it. If you decide to participate in the divine liturgy and to take communion, cleanse yourselves thoroughly, days beforehand, with repentance, prayer, alms-giving and concern for spiritual matters.
