Iconography of the Brotherhood

The infinite trophies emerging from the emptying of Word God have inspired those God-loving souls who had an artistic and spiritual sensitivity to convey through lines and colours scenes from our Christ’s incarnate providence, as well as the forms of our Mother of God and the Saints of our Church.

The icons are used as the mediators between the depicted persons and those praying. Thus a bond, a relationship is formed. The honour exhibited towards the icon is conveyed towards the prototype, as Saint Basil the Great would say. Moreover the icon also conveys the divine condition of the prototype. The divine grace of the prototype resides in the icon.
