More than 1.500.000 Russian pilgrims have venerated with keen desire the Holy Belt, that has been delivered from the sacred Vatopedi Monastery to Russia. The Russian prime minister Vladimir Putin was present to welcome the Holy Belt in Saint Petersburg, while His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia and the president Medvedev have venerated the Holy Belt at Nischni Novgorod.

The Holy Belt has been scheduled to visit the cities of Russia while the holy trip will mark a Christian cross in the four points of the horizon.

The first city that the Holy Belt was presented was Saint Petersburg in 20th of October, while will follow the cities of, Ekaterinoupolis, Norilsk, Vladivostok, Ussurisk, Krasnoyarsk, Tyumen, Nischni Novgorod, Diviyevo, Saransk, Samara, Volgograd, Rostov Na Donu, Stavroupolis, Kalinigrad and finaly Moscow, from where it will depart in 26th of November.
