Jonathan Jackson + Enation “Radio Cinematic” tour

15 June 2015

Jonathan Jackson, a recipient of five Emmy awards, was baptised an Orthodox Christian three years ago (see his interview at “Pemptousia” http://bit.ly/1bK9cCs ).  He and his band, Jonathan Jackson + Enation, are making a national tour in the United States for their latest album “Radio Cinematic”.

Speaking of their tour in “Pemptousia”, Jonathan revealed that the opening song “Young World’s Riot” is about the innocence and wonder we have when we come into this world. Our own Eden… . And then the tension begins as the passions come into our lives… The journey of our concert is “how do we get back to that place?” That place of goodness, mercy and love.

Below are the lyrics of the last song on the album, “Young World’s Riot (the end)”.

It’s cold outside

And the stars are bright

And the firelight burns

Stretched over the earth

I see the blood trickle down

I trace the lines on your face now

It’s cold outside

It’s cold outside

Would you come away?

Would you come away?

Would you come away?

Would you come away?

Come away

“Thine own of Thine own,

We offer unto Thee

In behalf of all and for all”

For the life of the world

A prayer of the heart

Remember us, O Lord

In Thy Kingdom

Remember us, O Lord

There once was a time

When we were young

And we were free

There once was a time

Our hearts were on fire

We couldn’t deny it

It was the young world’s riot.
