Nasty and ungrateful

’Sweetest Jesus, you who were sinless God suffered so, so many injuries, so much contention, so many curses, and so much mockery from such a large number of people who hated you and bore you such ill-will. And you endured all that with tolerance, for my love and salvation. And I, sinner that I am, spiteful and wretched, protest and say “Why is the Elder giving me that bitter medicine of salvation?” I deserve everything I get. I’ve got no excuse and can only be patient and take up my Cross which your goodness has granted for my salvation’.
