Fleeting and perishable

The body is just the temporary garment of the soul. It’ll perish and isn’t our real life. Real life is spiritual. If you rob someone of their clothing or tear it into pieces, that person continues to live. The same is true after death, with the decay of the body. The soul continues to be alive. So let’s be mindful of its salvation.
