On an equal footing

Be plain in your dealings with other people and treat them as equals. Don’t be overbearing and boastful towards them, but rather be humble. God has given you the gift, unworthy though you are, so don’t turn it into an occasion of pride. Accept it, instead, as an opportunity for humility.
