If you want to get to know the Lord, you don’t have to be rich or well-educated. You need to be dutiful, restrained, with a humble spirit and love for your neighbor. The Lord will love such souls, will reveal himself to them, teach them divine love and humility and give them whatever’s most beneficial, so that they’ll find rest with God
