When we make an effort to bring calm to our soul through humility, prayer and a great deal of love, then we regard whatever happens to us as part of God’s plan. Have I fallen ill? Fine, this is in God’s plan for my life, a trial that’ll pass. Have I lost a loved one? It was their time to go and enter the next life and that’s how it had to be.
