Sanctification is our human participation in the uncreated energies of God, either in the state of purification from the passions, or in that of illumination of the nous, or in that of final glorification. Those who enjoy sanctification live within a permanent, intense spiritual experience. This experience, which is the enjoyment of divine grace, can’t be compared with any other.
