The holy Fathers determined that, immediately after Christ’s cross and resurrection, the ‘Acts’ which describe the miracles of the Apostles should be read, as the best confirmation of the resurrection and the clear and irrefutable proof of it. You didn’t see the risen Lord with the eyes of the body? Well, you see him with the eyes of faith. You didn’t see him with these eyes? You’ll see him with those miracles. Any accentuation of the miracles leads you to proof of the resurrection.
