Finding Orthodoxy in High School

On Journeys to Orthodoxy, we meet Andrew Smith, a convert in Australia, who talks about coming from a Godless home to the Orthodox Faith at age 16. Although Andrew’s parents were atheists, they allowed him to make his own decisions.

Andrew discovered Orthodoxy when searching for God as a teen. In the Australian public school system, they taught religion classes, and Orthodoxy was one of them. Andrew dived in and went to his first Orthodox service on the Gold Coast at St. Anne Greek Orthodox Church. After visiting the Church and studying the faith, Andrew was brought into the Church one day before he graduated High School.

The Orthodox Christian Network produces a wide variety of multimedia resources for Orthodox Christians and seekers in three languages: English, Greek, and Spanish.
