Marriage as death and resurrection

But it’s obvious that for a marriage to be manifestation and a revelation of the marriage between Christ and the Church, the couple must continually overcome the sinful person they have hidden within themselves, must crucify their egotism and passions and achieve the holy virtue of humility in all its profundity.
From this point of view, marriage is participation in the death and resurrection of Christ.
