Symbols of gladness

Joy is the fulfilment of desires, the enjoyment of what is pleasant and the eradication of sorrows. Where there is joy, the sorrow of tears takes flight, the heavy gloom of mourning departs, sadness is no more. Where there is joy, there, too, are the symbols of gladness.
