It slowly wanes

Love in Christ never changes. Secular love lasts a short time and gradually wanes, whereas divine love constantly grows and deepens. Any other love can bring people to despair. Divine love, however, elevates us to the sphere of God, it gives us serenity, joy and fulfilment. Other pleasures wear off, but we can never get enough of divine love. It’s an insatiable pleasure which we never tire of. It’s the uttermost good.
