We don’t know when

Brethren, let us hate this hollow life and let us desire only Christ, who is holy. We don’t know the time when our death will occur. None of us knows the time and day of our departure. Indeed, as we’re going along enjoying the pleasures of the world without a care, the order suddenly arrives for the soul to be separated from the body. And sinners depart this life on a day they didn’t expect, their soul full of sins, and they have no answer in their defence.
