In fact they desire it

The greater the spiritual stature of a person, the less they fear death. We’d say that, in fact, they actually desire it. Not because they hate this life or because they think of the body as a prison, as the Platonic philosophers did and hoped to be released from it through death. Christians love this life, but also desire communion with the true Life, that is, Christ.
