It germinates inside you

Sin isn’t an enemy that attacks you from the outside but the wickedness that germinates and grows within you. As long as you bear in mind the future judgement, no passion and no foul desire will take possession of you. But, if you forget God and are indifferent to things spiritual, then you’ll begin to entertain wicked thoughts and to act under the directions of the demons.
