It’s not the result of study

Remembrance of God nourishes and increases love for him and for our neighbors, because, as Saint Gregory Palamas emphasizes in his homilies, love for others is a concomitant of love for God. Illumination of the mind isn’t the result of study and instruction, but of personal participation in the uncreated knowledge of God.
