Those who confess regularly retain more easily in their memory the transgressions they’ve committed since their last confession, as opposed to those who confess infrequently and find it difficult to make an exact and detailed confession. In the case of the former, at the hour of their death the devil will have nothing to present since they’ll already have confessed in detail.
